On January 3, 2022, the province announced returning to the modified version of Step Two of the Roadmap to Reopen, effective Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 12:01 a.m. for at least 21 days (until January 26, 2022), subject to trends in public health and health system indicators.
As a result of this announcement the Township of Greater Madawaska has implemented the following proactive measures:
- The Township Office will be open regular hours, however:
- If you need to meet with a member of staff please call ahead, as meetings will occur by appointment only.
- Residents are encouraged to make payments utilizing alternative options such as online banking, telephone banking, by mail, or by credit card on the Township website.
- Face masks must be worn at all times inside the Township Office. Should you be unable to wear a mask, please call ahead and do not enter the Office building.
- Road maintenance and snow removal will continue without interruption.
- Transfer Stations will remain open. Please wear a mask when attending the sites. Tipping fees will continue to be collected.
- The Greater Madawaska Fire Department will continue to respond to all emergency calls.
