Development Charges Background Study

The Township of Greater Madawaska has contracted Watson & Associates Economists Ltd. to undertake a Development Charges Background Study on behalf of the Township. The Draft Background Study is available for review.

On Monday, April 4, 2022, at 5:30pm, the Council of the Township of Greater Madawaska will hold a public meeting, pursuant to section 12 of the Development Charges Act, 1997, as amended, to present and obtain public input on the municipality’s proposed development charges (D.C.) by-law and underlying background study.

All interested parties are invited to attend the Virtual Public Meeting of Council. Please contact the Clerk’s department by email to the Deputy Clerk or call (613)752-2229 to arrange for a virtual link to the meeting.  The meeting will also be viewable livestreamed on the Township’s YouTube channel.

Interested persons may express their comments at the public meeting or in advance in writing, by email to the Treasurer prior to March 30, 2022, and such written submissions will be placed before Council at the meeting.
