Chief Administrative Officer: Following an extensive recruitment process, including 80 applicants, all reviewed by the Greater Madawaska Council as a whole, the Township of Greater Madawaska is pleased to announce that Renée Mask has accepted the permanent role of Chief Administrative Officer. Renée has held the position of Treasurer/Deputy CAO with the Township since July 2020. During her time with the Township she has continuously demonstrated her skills and knowledge with addressing challenges and implementing changes.

“Since joining Greater Madawaska, Renée has shown excellent leadership, work ethic, and interpersonal skills, combined with her education; Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA), Certified Municipal Officer (CMO), Diploma of Municipal Management (DMM). We have worked closely with Renée since coming into office following the October 2022 Election and despite the challenging times over the past several months, she has shown tremendous leadership skills and a desire to move the Township forward. On behalf of Council, I welcome Renée to her new role and look forward to moving ahead.” Mayor Rob Weir.

The role of Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the Township is to provide essential support and strategic leadership for the municipality and act as the direct liaison between council and staff.
