Paying Property Taxes

The Township of Greater Madawaska offers a number of ways to pay your property taxes; in person, at your local bank, by mail, or online.

We also accept different methods of payment such as:

Cash
Cheque/Post dated cheque (payable to the Township of Greater Madawaska)
Money Order
Debit
Credit Card - a 1.75% fee is charged for credit card payments

Payment Options

Review each option and chose the one best for you.

In Person

Visit the municipal office during regular business hours Monday to Friday.

Pay with: Cash, Cheque/Post-dated cheque, money order or debit.

No credit card payments will be accepted in office.

Online Banking

Set us up as a payee by searching “Greater Madawaska” and selecting Greater Madawaska, Twp of (property taxes).

Your account number is the full roll number on your tax bill. Do not use spaces or punctuation ex.470600601054400.

Credit Card

To pay your taxes using a credit card use our online form to submit your information.

Payments made through this outlet will be subject to a 1.75% charge.

By Mail

You can pay your taxes through the mail. Post-dated cheques are accepted. Please make the cheque payable to the Township of Greater Madawaska and send to:

Pre-authorized Payment Plan

A pre-authorized payment plan can help you avoid missing your property tax payment deadline by automatically withdrawing from your bank account. The pre-authorize payment plan is monthly, with installments withdrawn on the 15^th day of each month.

Please complete the Pre-Authorized Payment Plan form and submit the application with a void cheque or a bank pre-authorization form showing your banking information, by mail or drop off at the Township Office:
